I was born in 1956, and my first years that I recall in the city was in my paternal grandfather's house in Rajajinanagar, then barely populated... attending kindergarten at the National English School. Mr. Gopalakrishnan was then a dashing young Malyali principal of the school, and I might have been in the first or second batch of students at the school.
